The Solution is something like Hydro Ottawa - Municipally owned

Hydro Ottawa is a regulated electricity distribution company operating in the City of Ottawa and the Village of Casselman in Ontario, Canada. As the third-largest MUNICIPALLY OWNED electrical utility in Ontario, Hydro Ottawa maintains one of the safest, most reliable and Cost-Effective electricity distribution systems in the province, and serves over 320,000 residential and commercial customers across a service area of 1,100 square kilometres

Over the last 2 months we have turned our power off during Peak hours of the day and we have been able to lower our Consumption to $40 / month.

There is Hope ....

This past summer our Hydro bill was almost $300.

By reducing our Consumption, and turning off Power during Peak Rates our November and December Bills have been below $100. Hydro Ottawa is Fair.

If I cut my consumption they DRAMATICALLY cut my bills. This is how it's done Folks.

There are still Great Canadian companies out there. Owned by the Cities.
